t5's Restaurant and Comestibles Reviews

What is the first thing we think about when we plan a vacation? All the good food that we will eat, of course! (ok something in there about cool boutique hotels and cool sights to see...) This section is dedicated to a variety of food items that are worthy of review, and amazing restaurants that are not to miss!

KOI (Japanese)
600 Pacific Coast Hwy # 100
Seal Beach, CA 90740-6600

This restaurant is in a center in Seal Beach that also boasts Finbar's Italian restaurant and Patty's Place steak house. T1.spouse went with a friend on a "Dad's night out" and he was determined for us to try it. WOW! The food is AMAZING! Prices are somewhat higher than your average family restaurant. Eat light, and bring your backup wallet. (2 1/2 ate for $90.00 but this included a glass of wine and a bottle of Chrysanthemum Water sake... -see review below).

Definitely a memorable place to eat!

Kikusui Sake (Chrysanthemum Water)

T1.spouse, being a 10th don in the Bujinkan, is an avid fan of anything Japanese. This sake was one we ordered at Koi when we were there. It is an exceedingly smooth sake... no bite whatsoever! I'm not much of a sake drinker, but this is definitely ok with me!
